Sign into the same InkDraft Google account on iPad and when connecting your agent. Your chatbot account can use a different email.

Claude

Connect with Claude
  1. Open the InkDraft listing above and choose Connect.
  2. Sign in with the same InkDraft Google account as your iPad and allow paper reading.
  3. Open a Claude conversation and enable InkDraft.

No custom server address or access key is needed. Claude Code can use your account connection when signed into the same Claude subscription account. Use /mcp to check it. Other login modes can require separate setup.

ChatGPT Chat and Work

Choose Streamable HTTP and OAuth. Leave bearer-token, client-secret, and header fields blank unless the provider specifically gives you a registered-client setup.

Start at chatgpt.com in a browser. The desktop app's “MCPs” form with environment-variable and header fields configures local Codex. It does not make tools available to Chat.

  1. Enable Developer mode in Settings → Security and login, if your account or workspace offers it.
  2. Open ChatGPT Plugins, select +, name the remote connection InkDraft, and paste the server address.
  3. Complete InkDraft sign-in and allow paper reading. Install the personal plugin if prompted.
  4. Start a new Chat, open its + / tools menu, and select InkDraft. Confirm that its tools are available.
Local Codex and standalone coding tools

This configures the local tool, not ChatGPT Chat. To connect Codex:

Complete browser consent. If it reports insufficient scope, reconnect with paper.read permission and restart the connection. For Claude Code, use its MCP settings or add the same HTTP URL and finish sign-in through /mcp.

Check it works

Write a small mark on iPad and tap Update. Ask your agent to read the latest paper and report its revision. Make another mark, Update again, and confirm the new revision appears.

If the agent says InkDraft is unavailable, check that it is enabled in that exact interface. Searching uploaded files does not connect MCP. If the account is empty, check your InkDraft sign-in and tap Update on iPad.

The connector exposes paper_status, get_paper, and get_profile. Agents receive the original image; handwriting interpretation depends on the agent. No InkDraft skill file is required.
